Process

1. The estimate appointment (free of charge) is set and a brief description discussed in order to get a better idea of the project.
2. At the time of the estimate (20-30 min) the scope of the project is discussed and all the parameters of the job are considered and explained. Estimated cost available at that time. Sample doors are available at the request of the client.
3. In order to proceed, general or specific colors are chosen, dates and times set and instructions given.
4. Before we arrive, the counters need to be cleared and items removed within the first four inches of the inside of the cabinetry boxes.
5. Kitchen cabinet face frames are taped and appliances and countertops are covered. In most cases, the contents of the cabinets do not need to be removed.
6. The wood is lightly sanded in damaged areas.
7. The wood is degreased and chemically prepared for hand-rubbed staining. Glazing and texturing can be applied to enhance or to hide the wood grain.
8. The wood is then restored to the original color or enhanced with additional colors and darkened if desired. All wood is done including: inside and outside of doors, framing/carcass of cabinetry, panels, trim and molding.
9. Finishes are then applied to all surfaces (satin/matte, semi-gloss or high gloss).
10. All surfaces require an 8-10 hour dry time with a 24 hour cure time.
